In
1999,
I was
fortunate in obtaining Blenheimere Tristan as a 10
week old puppy. "Tristan" fulfilled his
early promise, going on to become my first
Australian Champion in December 2000, at the age
of 21 months. He achieved his title entirely with
Best of Breeds and a BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP.
His
title also means a great deal to his breeders
Peter & Lesley Harrison, as he is from their
first and only litter. I thank them sincerely
for parting with this lovely boy. With his
outgoing yet gentle and loving temperament, he has been a joy to
love, own and show.
Whilst
I enjoyed showing "Tristan" immensely and we shared some
absolutely magic moments together, I increasingly felt that
at almost 4 years of age, my beautiful boy no longer needed to
prove anything in the showring and thoroughly deserved to move
on to a different phase of his life, one of sleeping in on
weekends instead of being up early to head off to shows, along
with even more one to one attention than he received here
with us at Karhisar (if that is
possible!)

"Tristan"
is now the
absolutely treasured companion of a lovely couple, the wife
already being familiar with our breed, having had Cavaliers
previously in the UK. He spent his 4th birthday with his
new owners Barbara & Peter (how co-incidental that his new
mum is also called Barbara!!) and has settled in beautifully
with them.
Hearing about the joy he has brought to their
lives reinforces that I indeed made the right decision for my
boy although I miss him terribly and still shed a tear when I
think about him and the very special bond we shared. |
